Arrival down under

Stuttering start in Auckland after a long journey. However, after 24 hours, we are reunited with our bags and can finally get in and out of the motorvan! Spent a wonderful day enjoying Auckland with friends (Linda/Bruce) and have now arrived in Whakatane - Bay of Plenty - booked a trip to the White Island - active volcanic island 35 miles off shore. Then on to Rotorua and the Tongariro Crossing. Weather continues to be splendid!

  1. Finally figured out how to Blog!! Glad to hear you're enjoying your extended holiday. Happy Birthday Bob for last week, what a fantastic way to spend your birthday. Charlotte and I went to our first ever Cornish Choir rehearsal last night .... 6 of us all together. Two rehearsals before performance of about 10 pieces! Should be interesting - think I'll mime! Enjoy the rest of your stay down under, I'm off fishing now. xx

  2. Hola from Ray and Carol. Sounds like a truly amazing trip. Cold, wet and frosty here. Hope you've taken loads of photos for us all to see when you get back.

Ray enjoyed Cuba - he took LOADS of photos of old cars, but not many of Cuba. Typical!!

(Tell Angela she can't mime if there are only 6 of them!!)
